What I know about God

I know that God is an invisible, powerful force. I know God is very powerful and influential. Many people believe in God but do so in different ways. They perceive God through something called religion. There are many religions in the world. Some are basically very similar to another religion but have been changed slightly. Some major religions are Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam. Many people think of God as male, but I think of God as having no gender. People pray to it for luck, strength, energy, and many other things people need to accomplish tasks such as doing well on a major exam. Sometimes, when something is done that a person asked God to do, his or her faith in it increases.

As with the different religions, Hinduism stands out. In terms of God, Hindus believe in more than one god. Technically, there really isn't more than one god. Hindus simply believe others gods are incarnations of one god. Other major world religions only believe in one. For example, Christians believe in Jesus Christ and Muslims believe in Allah.

Everything has a purpose and creator. For example, a car is produced by man. Everything that exists from humans to a flower are all created by God. It is the ultimate force in the universe. It creates and destroys things. He does this equally to create balance. For one thing, the Earth's distance from the Sun is absolutly perfect. If it was just a bit farther or closer to the Sun, then it would be too hot or cold to support life. God keeps everything in balance and harmony.

Also, it may not be known to some, but God really loves us all. Just like a father and mother have unconditional love for their child, in the same way God has unconditional love for everything he creates, like us humans. Some think this is not true since bad things happen, many times unexpectedly, such as the death of a loved one. But God does not do this to cause suffering. It is done to maintain balance. God also creates joy for many too. It creates joy such as saving someone from an illness. These events may be called miracles by many, but it is the act of God. He creates joy and sorrow equally. Everything is in balance because of this great force called God.

When something is done that a person asked God to do, his or her faith in it increases. The person's faith may decrease if the exact opposite happens or nothing happens at all. People should understand that not everything can be done and that God cannot give large requests such as immortality or great amounts of wealth just by you praying to it. God is invisible and cannot be heard like you hear a radio. For this reason, some people don't believe in God. These people are called atheists. They think that believing in something that cannot be confirmed whether it exists or not is nonsense. But I believe in God because I feel that everyone must have something to believe in. That something should be God!
